Hi folks,

As you know, this time of year is always a great time for kiddies, but its also a great time for adults. Sure kids get to go out and trick-or-treat, its also a perfect time to sit by the fire (for us who live in the mountains or as my uncle likes to say the 'frozen tundra') and knit/crochet while watching a great film.

Halloween is special time of year. Yeah, sure people think its all witches and goblins and vampires, but in centuries past is was time for remembrance of the dead and the last harvest before the brutal winter.

With both of these thoughts on my mind, I kept wondering what I could make for a few of the local toddlers here in Bear Valley. Then with a little help from our guild members, I decided to make little pumpkin hats! :D

If you love the scary movies, like my sister does at this time of year, then I'd suggest Pumpkinhead series. Great films. Lance Henrikson does a great job protraying a tormented soul after losing his son to a motorcycle accident.

Not in the mood for scary? Well then I have another suggestion! Halloweentown 1-3 from the Disney Channel. Great kids and adult films. They are the kind of films you want to share with your children and grandchildren. Check them out!

Not in the mood for kids films? Well darn! ;) Then i suggest the Jane Austen Book Club. Great film and guess what? It has a  knitter in it! :)

And because its Halloween time, I was shown this funny picture!

Also, we did have our monthly meeting, unfortunately I was not present for the meeting so no minutes for this month.

Happy Halloween all!
