2011 Inaugural Retreat
From September 30 to October 1, 2011, the Guild held its Inaugural Karen Preston Memorial Retreat in Plumas County now the home of founder and 1st CNG President, Susanne Bergum. Members traveled to Quincy, CA, after a stop at Jimmy Bean’s Wool in Sparks, NV. While lodging at Ranchito Motel, members also visited The Wool Room, Quincy’s local yarn shop; and, enjoyed delicious dining at Mi Casita, Café LeCoq and Morning Thunder restaurants. The three days culminated with the completion of many teddy bears which were sent to The Mother Bear Project in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
